I dont pixar are making a third cars movie within the span of 10 years for the story, considering we dont have an Incredibles 2 which is definately worthy for a sequel.

shareI don't see how it could be "purely made for toys". They've already got all the toys they could make. I think it's purely for the box office. It'll make $1B and that's what matters. ($500-600M box office plus digital sales plus Gru-ray sales)

One could argue that all of these Marvel, DC, Hasbros, and other 80s/90s nostalgia films are for selling new toys and merchandise too. If studios got a franchise that sells, expect sequels, spin offs, and reboots.
