How does this get two sequels?

I'm waiting on The Incredibles. I think this film is more marketable, which is why it was so popular. Tou cars are more fun than toy fish and monsters. That's partial bs. I do notice more "Cars" toys than anything else when I walk through the toy section of a store. Just a thought. I, personally, LOVED the first one, but was very disappointed with the second.

I hear you! I don't understand how THIS movie got sequels so fast, when other amazing films didn't.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, that "The Incredibles" DESERVED a sequel WAYYY more that "Cars" did.

I'd much rather have had them spend the money they spent on Cars 2 (which was just trash) and Cars 3 and put it into making "The Incredibles 2"

"Cars" has more of a young boy fan based group (boys ages 3-14)
Meanwhile "The Incredibles" has something for everyone in the family. You quite literally see the entire family (Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother) all sitting down together and watching it. With them more importantly having ALL enjoyed it!
Where as with "Cars" young girls loose interest pretty fast, same with the parents. Heck even my Grandfather enjoyed "The Incredibles" saying "It was a hilarious, people these days are getting so creative! But you know what I liked? Was that all the characters (humans) looked so realistic! WELL until they stretched, went invisible and set themselves on fire of course! LOL!"

I'd much rather have seen them make squeals from other successful films INSTEAD of making yet another dull and boring "Cars" film.
Cars 2 was bad enough, but now they're giving us a Cars 3?! UGH!

Why the hatred for Cars? The first was very good and the second was passable.

These family affairs are easier to write...

Besides the Supes genre is max'ed out by live action movies with mediocre writing and re overused tropes. It would be harder to do a kids supes methinks
