K.C. Underhanded

Spoiler Warning! Done't read if you haven't seen "Cassandra Undercover" and "K.C. times Three".

In "Cassandra Undercover", for personal reasons K.C. wants to convince a boy that she has an "identical cousin" named Cassandra and makes plans to meet him with Cassandra. In order to do so, she busts Bernice, a girl who used plastic surgery to look like K.C. in one of Zane's plots, out of prison in the Organization's headquarters, in order to have a doppleganger for the meeting.

When Bernice escape's K.C. faces the Organization finding out that she released Bernice for selfish person reasons. So she disguises her best friend Marissa as Bernice and takes her back to the Organization's prison as Bernice.

in the nest episode "K.C. times Three" Bernice pulls a string of convenience store robbers to blame them on K.C. Cooper and get money to pay for plastic surgery to change her appearance, while Marissa rots in the Organization's prison.

Note that both Bernice and Marissa complain about the discomforts and indignities of life in the Organization's secret prison. And that the Organization apparently put Bernice in their secret prison illegally with a trial, since Bernice would have been a regular Federal prison if convicted in a trial. So apparently the Organizations keeps people illegally in durance vile, apparently for life, no doubt as a less evil alternative to murdering them, probably in order to keep the secrets of the Organization secret. By now one is starting to have some sympathy for the teenage criminal Bernice.

So K.C. and her family now seem rather sinister if they are willing to work for the sinister Organization.

And K.C.'s desire to have a pleasant personal life is responsible for Bernice escaping to commit crimes as well as Marissa doing time in prison to keep K.C. out of trouble.

So K.C. doesn't exactly seem like someone good enough to be the protagonist of a show for children.
