another UNREALISTIC show from Disney

spies? really? There was already something like this made...its called the SPY KIDS Franchise! Disney you need to stop with the "family has a secret" shows....wizards, singer, talking dog.....it needs to STOP.

And can't you use someone different instead of Zendaya Coleman?

Rumpbelle is an insult to the real Beauty and the Beast story!
Jeffer-Belle forever!

Why does everything have to be so realistic? Where's the fun in that?

"Weird is just a side effect of being awesome."

reply

Most kids would lose interest in a "realistic" show pretty fast. The whole point of kids' shows is to be imaginative and adventurous. Not sure why OP's so upset.

the op should go watch some gmw then, but i hope they can put up with bad acting, poor dialogue, and overly done cheesy scenes that are supposed to make us feel something. I like watching the show and even i know these things to be true about it. i agree with you--talking dog, spies, wizards, all of that makes for FUN tv for a kid. heck i love dwab, granted not because the dog can talk but just because it's fun for me and i love g hannelius. same with that's so raven, raven rocked and her being psychic only added to the excitement of her adventures. didn't really get into wizards but when i WAS watching it thought it was a fun show. sonny with a chance was also a great show because even though they weren't hiding anything the misadventures they got in on and off set were awesome and demi lovato really shined :) kids want to LAUGH :P. and for the record dwab, though not what one would call a realistic show, has had some REALLY good acting on the part of g hannelius. that girl can act because there were times where i was like wow, go G lol or i was feeling sad for her and wanting to give her a hug, or wanting to punch her or shake her so she can get her act together. the girl really can act :)

Maybe the right word is believable instead of realistic, but regardless the OP does have a point, the whole 'our family has a super big secret that shhh you can't tell anyone and have to pose as a normal teenager' is old old OLLLLLDDDDDD. Going OUT of the Disney realm for a moment, let's think about this, did the Power Rangers come from a whole family household of Power Rangers? No they didn't. Did the Sailor Scouts come from whole FAMILIES of Sailor Scouts? Wrong again. What did the parents do in Kenan and Kel? Well the dad was an air traffic controller, we don't know what the mom did but she was JUST a normal parent, not 'We're a family of superheroes' or 'super spies' or 'super rock stars' or whatever, it was just the parents being parents, and the kids being whatever they were, be they normal or super heroes. And it was not Kim Possible that 'Bye mom, I'm off to save the world', "okay sweetie, be back for dinner', what the hell?

I personally think the "secret" element is what makes the show magical. That's why I loved Hannah Montana so much. It also shows trust in friendship.

Realistic isn't the problem.

The whole wizards thing wasn't realistic but Wizards of Waverly Place was great with both amazing writing, interesting stories, great acting, and great comedy.

As with Thats So Raven, Kim Possible, and Gravity Falls.

As long as the show has good writing, jokes, acting, and good enough plots, being realistic won't be a problem for me at least

Agreed.

I didn't know everything had to be realistic  and what's wrong with Zendaya? She nailed it IMO

Esta es mi firma

reply

I think nailed it is an understatement. It feels weird to see her without Bella, but it's great to still have her on the network nonetheless.

reply

Bella was my favorite part of SIU but I still do like Zendaya.

reply

I am used to seeing both of them together. Seeing one without the other on the Disney channel is odd. And perhaps worst, this show is sorely lacking all those gorgeous boys from SIU. Adam, Kenton, and Roshon, love, love them all.

I challenge you to name one comedy/drama tv show that is 100% realistic. Even Reality Shows are unrealistic.

Also they got Zendaya cause she Co-Produced it.
