I think this will happen one day when there may be misunderstanding or someone draws him against his own family and join to the other side because of his parents always prefer K.C. than Ernie. I think this will be a twist plot.
shareIt makes perfect sense. His entire family treats him like crap. They don't care about his feelings at all either. At one point they left Eernie at the hotel all the way on the other side of the country!
Most parents, even if they hate their kid, they will not leave them all the way in a far away state after coming back from a vacation where they also took him. Because even if they hate their kid, it would be the responsible thing to do to MAKE SURE they don't leave him (or her) behind.
