Not sure if i missed something. What about the guy that josh Duhamel owes money to? Didn't he threaten he was going to go to the grandmother's place after he saw the note with her address in the money?

I was also expecting them to show up, take the money from him, and consider the debt settled. I'm guessing they (filmmakers) either just used it to set up the bank robbery by putting him in a corner, or they wanted to avoid a contrived ending so they didn't address it. It also sort of ensures that when the two went their separate ways it was the final goodbye (can't visit dad in prison if he gets shanked for his debts).
