Changes from UK to US
As the US Lifetime version is a two-parter obviously trimming the whole show down - has anyone seen both versions and could confirm the changes made?
shareThere are only a few cuts, maybe 5 minutes worth. It may be only two parts, but each part is two hours, including commercials. It seemed like they actually added a scene or two although I don't think it mattered much either way. I have the DVD from the UK, so I watched both in the same day and noticed mostly cuts to lines where they used profanity.

Added a line? Interesting. I wonder what they could have added.
shareAt this point, I can't remember the specifics. I just know at the time thinking I hadn't seen that scene on the DVD. There are some who have better memories than I. Perhaps they can fill in the blanks. ๐ This isn't the kind of show I'm going to watch over and over. If a fellow Aidan Turner fan wants to come over and watch it, I'll do it (that happened already last Tuesday), but if I'm going to watch anything more than a few times, it's most likely going to be Poldark. ๐

shareAre you referring to the scene where Macarthur looks at his feet and imagines blood covering them? Also, when he's in his bedroom he imagines seeing Leslie and Richmond making love in a bed. Both of those scenes are not on the blu-ray.
shareInteresting. I do remember thinking there had been scenes I hadn't seen before. I don't know why they'd do that, perhaps to fill in time? Stretching a three-hour (or less with the reviews and previews) into four hours of TV may have given them the opportunity. But I'm just guessing.
