Loved It!
I'm shocked at how much I enjoyed it. LIfetime has really upped their game, this is PBS quality.

Smartly done while sticking close to the book. I was super curious to see how it ended, excellent.
shareI was not familiar with "And Then..." and I'm usually no good at figuring out who dunnits?, but I did figure this one out. The characters should have asked themselves the question I kept asking myself:
since they've all done something terrible and are being punished for it...who is the one person who could have known of their guilt? It had to be someone with access to courts and criminal records, inquests, etc.
Was it obvious to everyone else, too? Maybe I shouldn't be patting myself on the back!
A top notch production. One distraction: actress Maeve Dermody looked so much like Emily Blunt to me, that I found it distracting. also, and I don't know if anyone else agreed, but after you know she killed the boy and then... Poldark (how dare she!) I was enjoying watching her with a rope around her neck. My bad.
No, she doesn't look like Emily Blunt in the least (to me).
However, I did think she looked like a young Jaqueline Bisset.
As to figuring it out, it crossed my mind briefly, but I didn't give it heavy consideration.
Creasy: Okay, my friend. It's off to the next life for you. I guarantee you, you won't be lonely..
Totally agree. I've been a fan of this story ever since my sister introduced me to it at age 10. I've seen nearly every version and this is one of the best (dare I say even better then the 1945 version). It conveys a sense of dread that the book illustrated so well.
Also, I agree, Vera's actress did look very much like Emily Blunt.
Hi VValkyrie,
I've seen most of the adaptations and this was the finest one. I loved it.
