That was some serious Aidan Turner beefcake in Ep 2
I mean corpses left and right but lets have him in a towel for a good 5 minutes...(thank you director)
what Jordie?

Must have dropped off when that bit was on, shall be watching it on playback later😀
shareYes - I thought that was funny... Presumably each of them could have got dressed again as soon as the search of their possessions was completed and no one ever wears a towel that precariously - all completely gratuitous. But, I wasn't complaining... More seriously, I hope Aidan Turner's not going to be constantly typecast just as the hottie who gets his torso out - he is actually a very good actor.

With all the press about his scything scenes in Poldark...
Heida Reed, who plays Elizabeth Poldark, has complained in several interviews about the amount of press coverage on his abs, the scything scenes.

From interviews, I don't think Aidan Turner minds so much being the object of appreciation as long as it doesn't impact his life in a negative way. He seems to be grounded and adept at keeping his personal and work life balanced. However, I very much agree with your comment, as he is a very talented actor as well as being handsome with that "IT" factor that projects sex appeal and it would be a disservice to him, fans, and new viewers to limit his range of project choices based on media hype. I have enjoyed his performance in everything I have seen him in, with or without clothes. In fact, I was introduced to him via "The Hobbit" where he was wearing a "fat" suit, prosthetics and multiple layers of heavy clothing and he was still one sexy hot dwarf full of life and personality.

That's me!
I first saw him in The Hobbit but didn't take much notice as he's a dwarf. Then yesterday, I binge watched Poldark and when he first changes his uniform to civilian, I knew I had a new obsession! He is gorgeous, his face, body with tiny waist, and that deep reverberating dark voice - wow!
Global Warming, it's a personal decision innit? - Nigel Tufnel
My first view of Aidan was in the opening scene of Poldark, and that was all it took. I've since seen everything he's done on screen that's available so far. It's just lovely to think he's only 32, and barring unforeseen circumstances, I should be able to enjoy his work for the rest of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed him in ATWN, but I must say I had a hard time thinking of him as evil, and it had nothing to do with his excellent acting. 😛
shareI didn't see him as bad either though he did terrible things in Africa.

My thoughts exactly!
I'm a woman, Mary. I can be as contrary as I choose. - The Dowager Countess (Downton Abbey)
He had a topless scene in the series Poldark and its all anyone ever talks about, he obviously does'nt mind being seen as the 'beefcake', imagine the fuss nowadays if they do it with a woman though
shareI think he barely had the towel on for one of the scenes.
I guess that is his James Bond audition done with then. Its just the case of when Craig calls it a day.
It's that man again!!
I'm surprised when he was being shot at the end, his shirt didn't fly off for one more topless look.
Una!
Lol! hehe

Haha! I thought the same! Like he would clutch at his chest, and just happen to rip his shirt open as he fell ...
Anyway. It just wasn't the same with his hair short.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
So if you'd like to help honor Aidan's beefcake—or whatever LOL, you might like to vote for him here: http://www.radiotimes.com/dramachampion2016, and you can vote as many times as you like. He's in the semifinals of this contest for champion dramatic actor (in the UK). Have fun! There is only a day to go before the voting is over, I think.

"How was the war, sir?"
"As any war, ma'am, a waste of good men." (Poldark)
Toby Stephens didn't look so bad, either...
