No, it's not. The Puerto Ricans are a Hispanic stereotype. All have black hair and olive skin. In reality, there is a wide-range of racial diversity in the way they look. Furthermore, colorism in yet another film/TV series is present.

shareIn the original movie, they had nonHispanic whites playing both roles except for Anita and Chino. Distinguishing the two wasn't an issue.
There should be more black and brown Puerto Ricans plus whites with fairer features mixed in with the stereotype.
Consultant Rita Morena dropped the ball. She recently defended colorism until she was criticized.
Also, there's usually a subtle difference in fashion preferences between ethnic groups which could be incorporated.
