too many dead people coming back to life...

three so far : Mistress East, who was his by a car falling from the sky - Jack, who fell onto the solid ground from a height which would be impossible to survive - and Eamonn, who was shot in the chest & returned at the end of the same episode with nary a bandage. medieval armor does not deflect bullets.

i like the idea of a tv show to give a break to unknown actors and showcase their talents, but why are half of them from Britain ?

i enjoyed the 1939 movie as a child, and i was intrigued with the new take on a classic story ; grittier, more gothic, and with drug abuse and a gun to bring modern political agendas into what has been, to now, merely a children's story, and at most a musical or three.
but in this interpretation, there are too many whirlygigs everywhere (why in the middle of the forest ?), too many inconsistencies (what happened to that fancy dress that Dorothy stole from East's castle at the end of ep.3, why did she suddenly have the bravery to see the wizard after she put it on, & when did she get the cop jacket back ? ), too much drama (with no payback), and too many characters in this for me to invest another ten hours of my life (is Princess Languidere supposed to be the cowardly lion, with all those animal masks?) - this show is clearly for women, like any soap opera in prime time. i'll come back for the season finale to see if Dorothy gets to go back to Kansas, or if this is all just a dream, like the original (total ripoff), or if this is going to drag on, which proves that some stories are just being told in a way that kills as much airtime as possible. this is why i quit the Dome in the middle of season 1, and when i saw the end of the season finale, i was glad i didn't waste any more time on it.

Mistress East, who was his by a car falling from the sky

She was not killed by the car because only witches can kill witches. She killed herself with the gun.

Jack, who fell onto the solid ground from a height which would be impossible to survive

There are recorded incidents that people with very severe injuries can survive for a short time, and apparently he survived long enough to receive medical care. Besides, how else were we to get the Tin Man?

Eamonn, who was shot in the chest & returned at the end of the same episode with nary a bandage. medieval armor does not deflect bullets

He sat on the horse as if he was injured and Oz has the technology to turn a boy into a tin man so why couldn't have really strong armor?

Couple of points. On Eamonn, This is the enchanted land of OZ, There is magic everywhere, prolly in his armor too. Also notice that armor. I doubt the show runners intended this, but that angular armor is the same sort of design used in tank design to help deflect bullets.

I thought about the angle too and we don't really know the metal. In a world with magic and strange sciene, I don't think it's too far fetched to imagine his armor is bulletproof.

Jack is the tin man while the other guy is the lion. WHy would they kill Dorothy's allies this early?
