Hand jewelry of witch

Where can I find the jewelry similar to the kind on the hands on the witch who shot herself with the gun? Anyone know?

reply

Yep. Check out Etsy.com

Usually, you can find the difficult-to-find at Etsy - but, I couldn't find *anything* that came close to what the Witch had been wearing - and How do I describe it?
It looks Tribal, but, more Eastern Indian...
I've gone so far as to check out the Costumer's pages to see if anything was mentioned about where it was purchased and/or if it was a custom piece...
I also know that some belly dancers wear "slave bracelets" that are very intricate - but, nothing like this!

Huh. I thought for sure that Etsy would have something. You can find just about anything there. That was a good idea about the slave bracelets and costumes. I would look under occult jewelry as well as Middle Eastern jewelry,...

I've seen pieces similar but off hand I don't recall the names of the actual shops. Often if you see a bracelet or ring, something that resembles it, and write to them and request a custom order, they can make something out.

Did you check out Indian Bridal jewelry?

Sounds like a plan, (checking out Indian Bridal Jewelry!)!

I'm getting the very strong senses here that it was an item especially created for the show - and as such will be a particularly difficult/impossible item to get and having it replicated could pose a problem...
I guess we could always ask *this* guy -
"Tamás Novák .... assistant costume prop designer and jeweller (10 episodes, 2017)"

If you're okay with not having "original" artwork (ie: I doubt the actual creator of the jewelry in the movie does odd jobs on the side, but you never know), I can share one source with you. On Etsy if you look up the seller Pyrografix and talk to Char, and tell her Lisa (the one who got a custom ankh) sent you and see if she can help you out. She's made custom pieces for me that were very intricate and detailed, hand-made, unique and one of a kind.

I have several pieces of custom jewelry that are OOAK from various Etsy sellers, and she is a seller that I've worked well with in the past and I trust her.

Now, the hand-jewelry you're looking at is not in her general style, but she may have some suggestions for you or perhaps even a recommendation of another seller for you to check out as she makes and designs custom jewelry, she may have sources. She helped me a lot with some very particular and specific unique designs that I've wanted that I have never seen anywhere else.

If you want, I can give you the names of some of the other sellers I've worked with, and you can run it by them. I mean, you can always ask, it doesn't hurt. For example, I designed a very unique dream-catcher with specific webbing, crystals, ostrich feathers, and I wanted it to include animal bones for a Native American look. After chatting with a few sellers, I found one who totally customized one for me and now she carries them as a regular item.

I designed a leather jacket from Joro Pentagram also on Etsy, and it turned out to be quite popular, and he was getting requests for it after he posted the progress and design updates on his facebook, so now he's added that design to his collection too.

What I'm getting at is that sometimes you'll find a seller who may not make what you're looking for exactly, but if you run it by a few different people, you may find someone willing to put something together, taking their cue from your wishes.

Thanks Lisa - I have to admit that as I was going through the different sellers, I found a *bunch* of items that weren't exact replicas but, were *outstanding* items on their own.
Truth to tell, I don't have anywhere to wear such a fantastic piece as the one the Witch was wearing, (and I'd be terrified of hitting on *anything*).
I was primarily looking for (as you suggested), a OOAK piece that would perhaps be similar; and I did find a *lot* of lovely things...
Personally, I just wanted to tip toe through their catalog and make notation for future gifts to myself! LoL!
Thanks for your help and insight! (Truly refreshing on a message board these days! :) )

Of course! Glad to help. I have very eclectic tastes, but I'm older, so I can't get away with wearing many of the things I did when I was younger. But what I've found works well is having one or two "statement pieces." It's like wearing a black long sleeved top, black pants, black boots, and then a large coffin nail cross as my only accessory. It's easier to pull off these unique OOAK pieces if they're the only real piece you're wearing.

You'll be pleased getting something custom made for you, and my experience with Etsy is most (not all, true, but most) are sincerely kind and helpful and are very willing to work with your ideas to create something. Sometimes they may even have a similar idea but no one has expressed much of an interest, (yet), so they just haven't made it yet.

If you were to wear, let's say, one cuff (slave bracelet) on just one hand (vs. both), it could make such a lovely piece. I don't go out like I used to, so I wear my little special pieces, one at a time, with just regular every day clothes and it adds a touch of fun and playfulness. I'm happy to help, and good for you for wanting to express yourself and show your creative side! I always applaud such expressions!

Enjoy!
