What is the "Beast Forever"?

The wizard and others keep referencing it and there was that huge
skeleton early on. They also talk about it taking different forms.
Is there any mention of it in the original books? I wish there was
a Wiki that gave the backstory to what originally happened in Oz.

There are numerous add on books over and above what Baum wrote. There are some wiki but I think the beast is a construct of the show.

Ah, I was afraid of that. I did a lot of Googling on it and came
up empty. I thought my Google-Fu had failed me ;)

The Beast Forever is basically just what they call the numerous disasters that have hit Oz over the years, the last one of which was a great flood.

Episode 4 offered more hints about the Beast Forever.

In Nimbo it is explained the Beast comes to cleanse and purify when it must. Oz's counsel Anna tells him the beast will come from the sky and it has a brain and a heart and has relentless strength but because it has a heart can be killed. Eamonn also tells Dorothy she is the girl that dropped from the sky as well when he finds her. Could Dorothy be the Beast Forever or later have the power to raise it up?

Episode 4 implied that Dorothy is the Beast Forever. She's come from the sky and has a heart, as we keep seeing in every episode.

I feel Anna will end up on the opposite side to Dorothy and magic.

If it isn't Dorothy then she has something to do with it. Appreciate all the
replies. Not quite hooked on the show but I'm enjoying it.

Actually I think the Beast Forever is going to be the group as a whole, like the original quartet. The description Anna gives matches qualities for each. It will fall from the sky (Dorothy), has a heart (Jack/Tin Man), a brain (Scarecrow/Lucas), and courage (Lion/Eammon).

Maybe it's the Beast "Fourever": Dorothy + the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion.

My thoughts exactly (not quite about the "fourever" part but i like that theory).

But obviously it's the 4 unified that is the beast forever:

As Anna said:

I assumed the Lion was the leader of the soldiers chasing D&L (he's also got the hair, and there was a load of guff about the men he killed looking like they had been killed by a lion). Now you've said that I'm wondering if it's misdirection.

Good thread. I was interested in finding out more about the Beast Forever as well. The replies here have been really helpful too.

It sucks that iMDb is shutting down the boards in 2 weeks. Most
the the threads I've posted to and read have been helpful and civil.
I don't know why they can't get some volunteers to be moderators for
these boards. I'd gladly help do it.
