Sylvie
I'll bet you Sylvie is the Beast Forever. You heard it here first.
shareSeems to me that the beast forever is the Wizard or at least it's source. According to East out worlders coming and staying is what brought the beast. He's the only out worlder there since Dorothy was born there. His continued presence in Oz is the threat, him leaving or dying should end the beast forever, forever and maybe Oz brought Dorothy there to end him.
Nemo Unus Animabus Carnem!

Oh thanks for that, I forgot she's the scientist in Ev. Still seems like if they are both killed or sent back the beast forever will be no more.

I like the belief that Dorothy is the beast forever, or even Dorothy + friends because they will all have the (brain, heart, courage, etc) of one beast. Dorothy would be the heart, so the whole beast can be killed if you kill her. Since she was born in Oz, she can't be considered an outworlder, like you said. So, maybe, since the outworlders are still there, Dorothy got sent in as the beast for this next rotation since she has a direct connection to them. Even the one scientist (the one that made jack into tinman) said things had come full circle...how did she know that and what did she mean?
What I am curious about is what was going on in Kansas right before Dorothy got sucked up in the tornado. People aren't talking about it, but her real mom was SLICED and DICED. Her mom told her that she COULDN'T go to the police and that one cop who showed up seemed bad, like he just wanted to shoot Dorothy in cold blood.
So, what was going on here? Why would these dirty cops have been going after the mother at the same time as the tornado portal hit and how would they know about Oz?? Why had Karen even been attacked if she was not planning to go back? What was that setup she had in her house? Does not seem like the wizard would have done that to Karen or sent people to attack. Seems to me like he was in love with Karen. Maybe Glenda or East?? Doesn't seem like West has a clue..East controlled the weather but was working with the wizard. What the heck would Glenda even want with her?
Why was Dorothy pretty much in hiding? What is that birthmark on her hand? Is it for protection?
So many unanswered questions but it is getting very interesting...
I'm confused about the first beast forever. Was it a flood? Tsunami? Was it an actual beast with arms and legs made entirely of water/fire/both? I can't piece it together.
shareAll we know about the last Beast forever is that it was made of water and the wizard had stone giants that defeated it. Stone Giants that for some reason will not work now. More than likely because he actually did use some form of magic to power it or something, or he drained those other witches in the pit to power it and has no more juice.
But I don't think it was a natural disaster or just having stone giants wouldn't really have mattered and the witch that controls the weather, East, would have been able to deal with that easily.
I thought the scene with the wizard in the camp implied he used the wife/mate of the head Munchkin (don't know how they're spelling it) to control the giants. As she's in the prison place, he presumably then had her imprisoned so she couldn't be used against him.
No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.share
The Beast Forever apparently comes every once in a while in different forms. Anna and Elizabeth, the Wizard's two aides, have conflicting opinions about what it will appear as next.
shareI wonder if the previous Beast Forever was Frank trying to create a power source like a hydroelectric dam and causing a flood from it. And with the discussion of the next beast having a heart - the heart is tied to the Tinman in the books. Maybe Jack will lead an pistol-wielding army against the Emerald City
shareExcept in the show Jack does not have a heart any more.
