Casting news?
Besides David Walliams as Tommy, has there been any word on casting?

The question is not who is playing Tuppence but which gonad decided to cast David Walliams as Tommy Beresford? Pure folly, the man gives men and women the creeps, and is hardly the right actor for this role, I know they say 'opposites attract' but Tuppence would have to have been lobotomised!
Jessica Raine as Tuppence should be great, but, David Williams as Tommy is a totally horrible casting choice. He is so wrong for Tommy and being Jessica's husband. I know he is involved in making it, but, they should have cast someone else. This is the worst casting I've ever seen. And I was looking forward to it

shareI am a fan of Little Britain, and Walliams' fiction has engaged lots of children I know (especially boys) who weren't particularly into reading previously, so for those reasons I admire him. However, despite his obvious ability, I felt that he lacked chemistry with Raine; they didn't look like a couple to me. The scene in the car, when he was supposed to be sexually attracted to her new look, seemed forced and uncomfortable.
I haven't read the PiC books, I'm more of a Poirot/Marple person, so I can't comment on his portrayal of Tommy from that perspective.
