Episode 9 of The Chair, WOW!
I just watched episode 9 of The Chair and wow, holy crap, Shane Dawson came across as an unprofessional baby. Basically, here I slapped together this movie in record time and here it is. I don't care what anyone has to say or think about it. Screw you this is my movie. Well, he will care when no one sees it and it makes no money and he never gets to make another one because of this.
I am not surprised at all by Zachary Quinto's reaction to Shane's movie. I actually laughed harder at this scene in The Chair than anything in Shane's movie. I was really surprised at Chris Moore's reaction and the other producers during the test screening. There was nothing that funny in his movie to be laughing the way they did.
This episode was also a perfect example of being to close to something. The confusing lead actresses in Anna's movie are still a problem in the final cut aired on Starz. They couldn't see it because they knew the actresses and made the movie. But it is a real issue that still exists in her movie and others have mentioned it on these boards.
Episode 9 was the best in the series so far and a real eye opener into what kind of people both these directors are. Anna came across very good and Shane very bad. I also got the clear impression Shane does not even care about his fans or audiences in general. He was very full of himself and at the same time super insecure. He seems like he cannot take a note or work with other people. And the other stuff about his hair and girlfriend (HA!) were absolutely weird. What a douche.
