Into the 5's it goes...
It now sits at a 5.8 rating. Where do you think it will end up? My guess is somewhere in the 4's.

shareKeeping my fingers crossed for -5.
Stop! Manners time.
That would restore my faith in IMDb voters.
shareIt's back up to a 6.0 right now. Looks like some fanboys got wind of it.

Welcome to the middle of nowhere-[fight2]-the center of everywhere.
I'm certain it's members of the Shane Dawson Fan Club who haven't seen the movie yet rate it a 10 anyway. Just like there are a bunch of 1 votes on Anna Martemucci's film that I'm certain are from the same people.
shareThis is a 6.6 and Hollidaysburg is a 5.9? What the hell is the matter with you people?
shareMy exact thoughts. This entire thread.
shareYea, well now its hollidaysburg with a 6.1 and Not Cool with a 6.2, so about even. Neither film was really great, although Hollidaysburg was slightly better when it comes to story, acting, and overall feel. Not Cool was not terrible though and not far behind Hollidaysburg in both being just OK.
shareI couldn't disagree more. For its genre, I thought Hollidaysburg was a really good film. Not Cool was an offensive disaster, imo....and many others', it would seem.
shareNot Cool was a lot of things, but offensive is not one of them. I have never, ever, not liked a movie for being "offensive". It wasn't a "disaster" either, mostly just people who didn't get the jokes or didn't like the humor saying that. It had some decently acted and directed moments if you sat through enough of it. It was OK/not very good. But still gets a 5 from me and averages a 6.
Hollidaysburg was not very funny, it wasnt offensive, it just wasnt very good. Not all martamuccis fault, she worked with the script, the script was OK, not great. The film was OK, not great. Both films.
Martamucci didn't do anything to make the film amazingly better. The writing was improved but the directing towards the acting wasn't. Lot of awkward moments, and not in the funny way. Bad casting, characters that look alike, and characters that you don't feel anything for, and then poor chemistry on top of it. Hollidaysburg was not particularly good either.
So, A homeless black man eating his own poop....a heavyset mom sharting herself...a rape tally at a party.....none if these are offensive?
I'm not easily offended...and, maybe offended is the wrong word for me..But, many would find those few examples alone offensive. I was disgusted though. It was crude, raunchy "humor" that wasn't humorous.
As for your comments on Hollidaysburg, we'll have to agree to disagree. I enjoyed it a great deal. Was it hysterical? Not by any means..it was comical, heartwarming and touching. I enjoyed watching it and I can't say the same for Not Cool. I didn't watch much of THE Chair prior either....I
went in open minded...and it took less than 5 minutes to realize Not Cool was directed by someone with the mentality of a disturbed 12 yr old boy.
Trying to edit to add "spoiler alert" but don't see the option. I apologize.
shareHow this has a 6.0 is beyond me. This is totally awful. And probably had his tween fans voting it a 10.
I've written a script with Jen in mind as the lead. It's a comedy Life As Liz. PM if interested.
How tf does this bullsh**it have 5 stars when other movies better than this sit at 3 or 4?? they may suck too but they have some substance
yuck i hate dawson fangirls
