I've only seen her in a few things, Sucker Punch and A Series of Unfortunate Events, but I think she does a terrific job in this movie. It seems like she hasn't quite been able to have a breakout performance to really put her the map. I think some more good material like she had in this movie and she could have a good career.

I never notice her acting when I get lost looking into her gorgeous big brown eyes.

Granted I can’t help but say (what many have said) that Tom Hardy absolutely stole the show with his dynamite of a performance. Nevertheless, as far I’m as concerned Emily Browning gave a very earnest performance that managed to stand out. As overpowering as Hardy could be, Emily held her own against him and I certainly think she brought some necessary depth to the film as well.
And I always thought she was a good actress (haven’t seen her in everything but I am familiar with enough of her work), however her role in this film still surprised me. She does deserve more high profile roles.
