My only problem with revisiting this story is that ...

it feels like the blame is being put on the witnesses and none of the anger and blame is being directed at the murderer.

As a person living in that neighborhood if Bill Genovese ever knocked on my door and started to try to passively aggressively shame me or my descendants I'd I'd probably tear him a new one and tell him I'm not the sonofab1tch who stabbed and raped his sister, so, yeah, why not hunt down the Moseley family and their descendants instead. Shame them.

Heck I might even pick him and toss his ass out of my residence.

But oh no, that would not be acceptable to pursue the actual murderer and he'd probably be called a racist for doing so.

I actually think he's trying to do the exact opposite. There is no question who is to blame. The reason this murder has "lived on" is due to the bystanders not intervening. I think he's absolutely taking that part of the murder to task in order to arrive at the truth. If anything, it exonerates the bystanders who allegedly did not step in.

Absolutely.

Exactly. I don't think the OP watched this, or if he did he didn't understand it at all.
