Jane's love life - s03E20 spoilers

Ugh.

Adam. Really.
They're introducing a new 'old' love interest for Jane. I don't want to get attached to a new guy, i want Rafael and Jane personally. I feel like introducing Adam is just a way to draw out the eventual 'through ups and downs' endgame of Jane and Raf.

Did anyone else think that with Anescka pulling the gun on Petra, that there would be some sort of struggle with Jane being shot? (but with no lingering threat of death ala Michael, of course). Anescka would flee, Petra's prints would be on the gun. The next season would open with Jane being in the hospital (though we've had alot of hospitals in the last seasons). Perhaps nobody can verify Petra wasn't the one who did it (and people know she's jealous of Jane, Raf especially).

I do feel like Raf and Jane are endgame, and there was no reason to introduce another love interest to make a triangle yet again. Just give us another season or two of Jane-Raf-Petra angst in which they'll live happily in the end. But with Jane's wedding speech about shit happening and people winding up together i feel like they're really going to lay it on think with this Adam.

I've already dismissed Adam, the same way I've dismissed Rafael/Petra. I have no time, energy, patience or interest for all the placeholder romances they're going to force on is until Raf and Jane find their way back to each other.

I understand the need to separate them on a show that probably has a couple more seasons in the tank but I choose to mentally fast forward through all of it. I've been wanting those two back together for too long now and I'm happy to entertain myself with Ro, Xo, Alba, her new man, and Petra's crime-related issues in the meantime lol. It's like Michael's death had made the fact that Jane and Rafael are apart, unbearable for me.
