Took a note from My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. That was a fantastic scene.
shareI was pleasantly surprised when Jane and Alba stepped in. I never heard them sing before, and I figured Rogelio would sing it solo. It was a very sweet scene.

Jane was my favorite in that number. Gina Rodriguez was totally charming.
However, I could have sworn that in a prior season Xo said that singing was her passion, not dance classes.
Yeah Xo has always said singing was her passion. During the meeting with Gloria Estefan she started to realize that between being a young mom and her quest to become a singer, she didn't really try anything else, and maybe she should do some exploring and see what else she could be successful at. Hence her job hunt, becoming a banker, etc. It finally hit her that the answer was right in front of her all along- She could expand her experience and skills teaching dance into opening a successful dance school. I think it's a great move for her!
