Plot Hole With Angela (Spoilers)

So in the epilogue, Angela picks up Malina from school. But Angela travelled back to 1999 to raise Malina and when we last saw her, she was in some kind of nunnery in the present day sixteen years older (around eighty going by Cristine Rose's actual age). So how can there be a younger Angela in Odessa three months after the HELE when she should be over eighty at that point?

reply

I wondered that myself. In the June 13th (I think Part two) we see Angela with white/grey hair.

Then she's in the car with Malina at the end and looks like a younger version - confusing.

Also, when young Malina and Tommy were in (Primatech) - wouldn't that mean that Angela knew about the twins/or was that the future Angela that went back to 1999 to raise Malina? Also, Rene/The Haitian was there. I hate when this show does some flashbacks, because it changes things/creates plotholes.

reply

Like the fact the twins weren't supposed to remember any of that, yet "Tommy" remembered it enough to send NiteLite and CrazyLady to the room after his memory was erased a second time and he shouldn't have remembered anything except his mother???

If at first you don't succeed, keep trying til you find someone to blame.

reply

Rene only erased them meeting each other. Tommy told his girlfriend or someone else earlier in the season about going to Primatech. The story about being in a room with no windows, the one from the finale when he started freaking out about not wanting to see that memory.

reply

Yes, but it was AFTER Pennyman erased his memories of everyone EXCEPT his "mother".

If at first you don't succeed, keep trying til you find someone to blame.

reply

Ugh...yeah the Casper mind wipe was stupid they really could have handled that better. The only way I could make sense of it was that Casper didn't take all of Tommy's memories just the ones with Hiro in them. That would be the bulk of them but not everything.

reply

Caspar's words were to the effect that Tomathon would forget everything EXCEPT his "mother". This was also the SECOND (at the very least) time he had his memories altered. The only way he should have been able to remember that room would have been if his mother had been there with him.

If at first you don't succeed, keep trying til you find someone to blame.

reply

I agree. Caspar deleted everything, including his name. So he shouldn't remember that room.

Angela+15 had no need to hide anymore after her younger self went back to 1999 with the twins, so she came back out to the public from her Swedish/French nunnery and dyed her hair.

altho, I choose to believe Cristine refused to wear that ratty excuse for a Tribble after that "June 13" episode, and simply didn't bother with trying to care at that point.

I'm pretty sure it was because the older Angela went back in time earlier than we may have assumed. For one.... Heroes Reborn takes place 4 years after Heroes season 4. The old Angela looked more like she aged 10 or so years. So I don't think there was a plot hole here.
