He wasn't acting, he was just very sad. He was hoping to be killed next to escape the amateurs he was working with.

bwahahahaha! I totally agree! That's the only part of this show that didn't look like an amateur-hour production. The sad part is, the scene stands out from the rest of the episodes because they probably brought in a special "director" for that one scene to work with the dog. In other words, a glorified dog trainer came in and out-shined the normal production crew. hahaha!
