When Arthur Petrelli absorbed Adam Monroe's powers, Adam aged 400 years rapidly.

Maybe that's what happened when Nathan absorbed Claire's ability; all her injuries caught up with her and killed her.

Apparently in the one episode Claire suffered a severe seizure, which had she had her ability, she wouldn't have died. However because he took her power, she couldn't heal and died as a result.

or go back and watch The Eclipse p2.

without her regen, an injury is fatal to her because she has no immune system to fight off a cold, much less a GSW.

She died because Hayden Panatiere didn't sign on for this terrible show.

because she was NEVER ASKED.
She went FULL DIVA in 2009 after breaking up with Milo, causing numerous delays and basically being a brat. no wonder the show got cancelled in 2010 and 2016.

She died because while she is only 155cm her head has the size of a 190cm high woman. Her kids have the same proportions so the babies being born has giant head which tears up her woman parts. Making her bleed to death.
