They could have deleted that last scene

I loved the series finale, but if they already knew there wasn't going to be a second season, why on earth didn't they just omitted that last scene about Tommy's father? I mean, it wasn't that long and it would have made the series finale more coherent. Now we will never know who the hell was their father.

i agree 100%. completely stupid and unnecessary final "GOTCHA!" scene.

I know, right? Such a way to ruin a great series finale.

I'm guessing they leave those kind of open ended finales to spark some interest ( for those that sadly liked this trash ) and perhaps write letters.

My understanding about "Hammer", Nathan and Malina's father, was he was a follower of Samuel Sullivan and they were basically setting him up to be the series' Magneto, Ie. an Evo supremacist.

They did basically rip-off the Genosha storyline from X-men with Sullivan wanting a nation for Evos.

WHERE the F are people getting this "Sullivan follower" and Magneto crap??

www.heroeswiki.com/hammer says NOTHING of the sort.

I seriously think that last scene was a last ditch effort to spark some interest in a second season. At this point though, I don't think too many people even give a crap who their father was.
