That series finale was intended as a season finale.

Well, everyone knows it was cancelled and that it was also a mini-series but judging by the final episode it's safe to say they were expecting to produce a Season 2. Heh, it got canned, who'd have thought.

Better this way as they killed off Noah and he was one of the original Heroes' characters I really liked.

It was only a mini series with only 13 episodes. There will be other stories in the Heroes franchise but the Reborn story is over and never canceled.

Initially it was but as time passed they thought it could be renewed for a second season which this episode proves they had that in mind.

The Heroes franchise is done for. Kring fúcked up again so if you're lucky what you'll get are webcomics or something.

whut? "8 episodes"????

NBC announced it as 13 episodes over a year ago, when they finally confirmed it was coming back.

I don't even know where you got that number. the "winter break" happened after ep 9/hour 10. and that was because the first two were paired up.

Yea, no. That never happened. It was 13 from the moment they said it was happening.

You were thinking of Blindspot.

It looks like they did not know whether they were going to make another series or not because they clearly gave us a finale that could have gave us another season while finishing up the first season at the same time just in case they never so that we were not left with half of the story unfinished.

It's a limited series. That means that the ending was always meant to work as both a season finale and a series finale. If they had been given another season, they would've taken it. Instead, they'll act like there were no plans to continue.

FOX billed "Wayward Pines" as a limited series. It turned out to be the summer's highest-rated scripted broadcast program among adults 18 to 49. So, the network decided to extend its run, ordering 10 more episodes.

So yeah fact is heroes reborn sucked. Didn't get enough ratings to renew it.
