Quite upset about what happened to Erica...

I can understand that Peter Pan, I mean Tommy, had no idea about what happened to Erica in the past. And it would seem that nobody else did. But I think it was tacky that the writers would show that horrible thing that happened to her soo late in the season just to gain sympathy and make people actually feel bad for her, just to go ahead and kill her off. I mean come on. The girl was basically raped and then threatened by her raper. I don't justify her trying to kill billions of people, but I can understand how something soo tragic could put someone on that path especially when she had nobody to turn to or rely on. It could have been done different. They could have omitted that whole rape story or just had Pan, Tommy, teleport her to prison or something. Just my take.

If Hitler had been raped when he was young, would that negate his crimes?

Chthonic gods have set their sights on making me a slave to their ways.

Lets not get into something like that. I'm saying from the standpoint of Erica, what happened to her and what she endured and was forced to do, I'm saying that they shouldn't have killed her off. Or that they should have shown what happened to her earlier on in the season and then shown her doing horrible things afterwards. They kinda just bombarded the audience and that was tacky. And I don't think she deserved that fate at all. After her encounter with that guy at such a young age, she probably was scared *beep* and thought that if one Evo could do something that horrible then others with even more power could do even worse. And she would be correct in thinking that. Lets just say I was all for her dying or getting what she deserved up until that episode.

But then the second Evo she met got rid of the body, erased her daughter's memory for her, offered to erase her memory as well, and then set her up with her job at Primatech.

Of course getting raped is terrible, but the guy did save her father's and daughter's lives. The fact that he was an Evo with a healing ability was the one good thing about him, and that's the thing she decides needs to be destroyed? And why didn't her 100% positive interaction with Caspar change her opinion on Evos at all?

It was such an incredibly weak motivation to explain why she thought genocide was a good idea.

By the time whats his face arrived tho the damage had been done. Rape is an extremely traumatic experience. Especially to a young girl. I don't even think she was 18 at the time. She looked more like she was 14-16. Then having the child of the raper...and who knows how many times he did that to her. Casper didn't show up until years after that initial incident. I mean, the child was walking, talking, and old enough to remember something like that. So it could have been 4-6 years that she had to endure the guy forcing himself on her. Or more likely a good amount of time before she became pregnant. And even at that, Casper wasn't there on behalf of her or to avenge what happened to her. He was there on behalf of Primatech and didn't show up until after she killed him. So if anything, that just would further fuel her hatred of Evos.

See, I think you're crazy. The fact that you actually changed you're opinion on whether or not she should die, based on the fact that she was raped, is outrageous to me. Is being raped a traumatic experience that would understandably change, or affect that persons state of mind? Yes, but that in no way, shape, or form, justifies her actions. Ive been waiting for her to get what was coming to her since early on, and that new piece of information didnt due much in the way of changing the way I felt. The woman inflicted pain and suffering on thousands of people, and condemned 7 billion people to death, but by all means, lets just let that slide because she was raped 20 years ago. She deserved what she got.

I'd just like to point out, Erica did not create the Extinction Level Event, she was just saving 'some' people from it.

There is absolutely NO genocide in this series.

Well, except the fact that there are no Natives on the show due to their genocide.

If there's a nuclear strike and I have a bomb shelter with limited space, I'm going to choose whomever I want, to save.
(Mostly young attractive women)
That doesn't mean I murdered the rest of my city.

Erica was actively attempting to prevent the twins from saving everyone. She was attempting genocide.

If at first you don't succeed, keep trying til you find someone to blame.

It felt just.

I say we put it to a vote by asking all the evos and humans who were relatives and friends of all those she killed or planned too. Even her own daughter chose death instead of living with her.

reply

Let's also remember that she caused the June 13 th attack and blamed entire Evo population and caused a fracture between evos and humans.
