The first one was awful! Who wanted a sequel?
The first one was literally just a giant commerical with no story and lame gags with no effort. Why would anyone want a sequel!?!?

shareAgreed.
shareThe Cult of King James, that's who. They seek more golden nuggets of wisdom from him. What better vehicle to showcase his genius? The movie doesn't even have to be good at all (like the first one). Witness its success for merely existing. Praise China!
shareThe first one was a kids movie, targeting kids who were growing up watching loonytoons. Now the references are all obsolete.
As a kids movie, it does its job of entertaining kids.
Lebron James is an idiot manbaby who thinks that now he has enough capital the only way to one-up Michael Jordan and become the greatest of all time is to produce his own Space Jam movie. This is the reality we live in.
shareThe accountants.
shareWhat do you mean the first one had no story? of course it had a story. You just didn't like the story and thats your right. The story was simple enough for a kids movie. The Aliens showed up to kidnap the Looney Tunes, then the Tunes talked their way into getting a chance to earn their freedom back via Basketball. Which leads to them seeking help from Michael Jordan himself Boom. You have a movie.
I also like how the story mixed in Jordans baseball career and return to the NBA. All of this worked quite well within the story of the film.
First was great, I'll king you if I see you walking the streets .
