Being part of a community is a bad thing?
Just wow, FotB writers.
shareWhen did the show imply such a thing?
shareOn the latest episode.
shareI watched it again and still don't get it.
Jessica doesn't feel like dealing with the emotional baggage and overcrowding of a visit from her family of origin. You've never felt like that on a holiday?
They open the restaurant for a Thanksgiving feast which is attended by their best friends who would have normally eaten at their house anyway.
Loners and people who can't make it to their own family celebrations now have a place to go as well, if anything decreasing the level of social isolation in the neighborhood.
Anti-community would be spending Thanksgiving by yourself eating junk food while binge watching that show you can never stay caught up on or going to a bar alone.
Those are activities for the day after a holiday. :)
