Maybe Saperstein is too over the top and they should work more?

I loved Saperstein, but he's kind of just kooky for no rhyme or reason. At least the kooky boss on Newsradio was acting kooky in the name of being a boss. He would appear to mediate work disputes and such and have roundabout solutions.

This office we never actually see people working so he's just making people scat or do karaoke like he's a camp counselor.

It's like he's the lead synergy director rather than the CEO of the company.

I thought that at first too; although, i can stand him more, now that they seem to have phased out his wife and son in law. I have enjoyed him more once i just gave up and gave in. His character is a little goofy, but so is most of the show.

I'd argue against us never seeing them working. Weve seen Henry brainstorming (successful) ideas with several colleagues, weve seen coworkers mingle in the cafe break room, we have seen peer review evaluations, visits to HR, weve seen Eliza in her sales section, but never really seen her deal with a client. It does the job for the time it has, i think. Where do you think they could improve or add more to the work part? I would like to see Eliza doing sales since she is the top earner.

I think you hit it on the nose. I'd love to see her on a sales call. A show like The Office, Mary Tyler Moore, Newsradio or even Better off Ted is infinitely richer for showing them in action.

It looks like they're eternally on a corporate retreat doing team building.

I loved Newsradio, and what a sad set of events surrounding Phil Hartmans death, but, even then it was more play than work. Since you have responded, and i dont know anyone else who watches, what do you think will happen with freddy and eliza?
Id hate for him to all of a sudden turn into a monster and he just keeps showing himself as willing to be in a steady, committed relationship so that would ring hollow. Ultimately,
since i think this is all we are getting, i just hope to finally see eliza and henry together. ABC is awful.
