The Jacket and the Elevator
Scenes like that this make be curse ABC and having only 4 episodes left to.

shareThe episodes are getting better and better....this can't end💏
shareBut really. I'm not trying to be over-the-top fangirl here, but John and Karen have some of the best chemistry I've ever seen between any TV couple EVER. After last night's episode I said "SERIOUSLY?!?" out loud at my TV. They're just wasting this show's tremendous potential by nipping it in the bud like this.
Yeah they call me the Hiphopopotamus, my lyrics are bottomless..............
Agreed. Their on-screen chemistry is off the charts! That elevator scene literally left me breathless...
shareRemember the hip grab a few episodes ago? Oh my, smoking. They're my favourite TV couple right now.
Love the way Eliza delivers her lines too, like "Who wronged you?" So funny!
No kidding. They are so "HOT" together. I am crying over the end of this couple in a sitcom. ABC is making a big mistake.
shareYeah, that was a superb episode! The 2 leads' chemistry is electrifying! I am sad at the impending end of the show, but hope there will be some form of closure for us fans (happy ending preferred!) by the last episode.
RE the jacket and elevator scene (which was smoking hot, btw) just wondered is it plausible for Eliza to go bra-less underneath that jacket?! I mean, why if she had on bra with the dress earlier.
"What time is sunrise?"
"When I open this door."
Ha! Good point
shareYeah the chemistry was really great. Really the acting on this is pretty exceptional along with the writing. It's sad that ABC gave up so quickly on this and Manhattan Love Story. Both shows were just starting to show how great they were and than boom... gone. At least NBC is airing the rest of the A To Z episodes and Hulu has picked up MLS and Selfie... but still... when these episodes are over the series are all done and that makes me sad.
shareNot to mention that they didn't need to have any touching or show any skin to get that exploding chemistry effect.
Silly network execs.
That's actually the problem with this show, and why it doesn't work as a lengthy series.
The chemistry is excellent, and they can't just keep dragging out the tension becuase the audience eventually gets bored. And the moment that the two get together, it's pretty much over.
It would have made a great movie.

I like the ideas of where you think that the show could go, but again, that only works for a handful of episodes. It does not work for full 22+ episode seasons.
How many years is Henry supposed to help Eliza recover her tarnished facebook/twitter/instagram status? That market doesn't wait years, it waits weeks at best, and typically it is only a matter of days.
Again, great cast, great theme, cute remake of an old tale, just not a project that was geared well to last for a significant length of time.
As long as they wrap things up nicely in the final episode and there's no cliffhanger, I'm fine with the show being over, I've made peace with the idea. I'm sure they could have found ways to make it last longer without focusing on the relationship though. Bit like Ally McBeal. At first it was only about the coocoo lawyer who had mental problems and was still in love with her ex, and you did wonder how long they could drag that story out, but they moved beyond that and it worked.
