Do you think if it had a better name it would have had a chance? Cougar Town and Trophy Wife are two shows that come to mind that turned people off with the names. Maybe if it was some play on something from My Fair Lady, people would have tuned in. I only did because of Cho and I am glad I did- the name really turned me off and the trailers didn't help either. I don't know why I bother with single camera comedies anymore. All the fast-paced witty ones get canceled.
Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.
Good point but I think it was the promos, when I saw it, I assumed it was another stupid show. But its not, it didn't start with big numbers and it also didn't lose big numbers, it kept its audience. It had a constant following of over 3 million viewers and it started with only 5. Networks need to take responsibility of shows under preforming, ABC shows usually get way more views to start with. Cougar Town did have a issue with the name, but its ratings slower kept falling, it more so just had a small following. Selfie is just bad advertisement,I mean it kept a loyal fan base since the second episode, so a big percent of people who actually watch liked it.
You would think at some point the ABC execs would say, "Instead of cancelling 5 new comedies this year, we are going to take the one with the biggest or most loyal fan base and promote the hell out of it." Could building a show be any worse than cancelling 4 or 5 and ordering another 4 or 5 the next year?
Just seems like a big waste to me considering all the 20/30 somethings comedies on now are just sad attempts to find another Happy Endings. Except that ABC had it and did nothing with it. 4 of the stars of it all have their own shows.

I never would have watched this show because the name is such a turn-off. The only reason I saw even one episode is because it popped up on Hulu after some other show I watched and since it was sort of background entertainment while I was doing something else I just let it play. Holy cow John Cho blew me away. I was like, "hey it's Harold..."
I haven't really watched much else with him and I was also turned off by the concept of "Harold and Kumar," so I never really realized that John Cho is outstanding. I'm bummed this show is canceled because I really love what he has done with the Henry character. I'm going to watch the rest of these, and hopefully he'll get some other show with a great character and really blow up because he really deserves it.
