shareIt's been a while since I've seen the finale, but what I remember at the end was Henry talking to those kids about how next time he sees an opening he will take it, or something to that effect. If that's what you're referring to, I did not think it was a last minute addition. I thought it was just hinting that (at least if the show had continued) over the course of the next season eventually Henry would have gone for it with Eliza.
