Better than The Greatest Showman
And no one saw it. This film was so great and people just ignored it, but an average movie like The Greatest Showman makes lots of money. I don't get it.

shareThe Greatest Showman was entertaining enough, but it was nowhere near my favorite movie of last year. The music was not very memorable for me, but it was pleasant enough. Sing Street should have been the hit The Greatest Showman was. Great love story and wonderful music and characters. Not sure what went wrong. There are so many awesome musicals out there and the fact that The Greatest Showman did so well and the others did not is kind of strange. I hope Wicked does well when the movie comes out. That is a great musical.
shareSing Street was too Irish, too unique, too quirky to appeal to the masses. I thought it was brilliant. I hated Showman. Both the story and the music left me cold. And the music was written(?)by the same composer responsible for LaLa Land, which I also loved.
shareWhat? I didn't know that the same composer wrote the music for La La Land. I loved the songs in that movie and left the theater with the songs in my head after the first time I saw it. I didn't remember one song in TGS. Even the song that was nominated for best song at the Oscars didn't stick with me.
