For those who care, he personally apologized to Keira and wrote a public one to the fans. Sure, it was likely a PR thing, but he even chalked it up to him possibly being a bad director.

Whether it was inorganic and false or not, at least he did it

I didn't think the comments were all that offensive, especially if they are based in reality. I guess you just have to keep your opinions to your self.

But the apology was so earnest it shows the earlier remark was really a slip of the tongue and he's merely a human that makes mistakes.

Agreed. That was several cuts above any other celebrity apology we've ever seen.
