shareThis is how I interpreted it, and whether or not it's true, it's how I'll continue to look at the scene. Imagining that those are the lyrics his brother wrote makes that scene even more poignant. It's already a scene I cry at every single time I watch the movie (up to five times now) as the final embrace of the two brothers just wrecks me, as well as Brendan telling Raphina to look after him jokingly as he'll be lost without him, but you then immediately see in Brendan's eyes that he'll be lost without having Conor around to talk to through all the home drama. I loved the relationship between Conor and Brendan, such a great plot point and Jack Reynor did a fabulous job and I think interpreting that final song to be the one Brendan wrote (probably intentional) makes the movie end so beautifully. Love it to pieces.
