Perfect Enough for a 10

A movie I have to recommend for people who love cult classic, coming of age triumphs of nostalgia, like Empire Records, Dazed and Confused, Freaks & Geeks, The Breakfast Club, Moonrise Kingdom, Harold & Maude... okay you get it, enough examples...

Check out the movie Sing Street, it's brilliant... it's not technically perfect, sure I can find a few things, but the good so far outweighs those things that it just winds up feeling perfect, and the ending will move you with its depth of revolving themes which reaffirm each other throughout the film.

Beautiful soundtrack. Very fun film. Inspiring and yet only the right style of nostalgic cringe. So good. Go see it.

10/10 for Sing Street

I am also a fan of Freaks & Geeks. Have to check some of your recommendations. By the way, I gave Sing Street a 10 too.

I wouldn't say its a perfect 10, but there are lots of less-than-perfect movies that I love. It's almost as if if it has a good vibe, I'll forgive the slight imperfections. Not that Local Hero, Barcelona, Good Will Hunting, Wonder Boys, and Sing Street aren't pretty close to perfect. Plus, my most loved Rio Bravo.

If you can find it, check out When Brendan Met Trudy, another excellent, charming Irish film.
