I'm American, so I feel like I might be missing something here. At the school, any time Conor is called out, the other students collectively tease him about his name. What is it about Conor's name that causes the students to react in this way? Or am I looking too deeply into it and it's just a case of kids being kids?
shareI really hope someone chimes in before the board closes because I had the same reaction.
At first I thought his name sounded too "posh," but skimming through this script, it might have rather been something about the way he said it with his accent, not the name per se, that caused the laughter.
