While I like the clip, we are still talking about a hermit crab, a crustacean and arthropod. Which mean we should have the impression about something heavily armored, especially considering the size, but when he talks his head makes me think more of that of a soft snail than a hard crustacean.

He still looks a bit sinister, and it's cool that he has all kinds of treasure on his shell. My guess was they were going for a non-traditional crab head to easily translate him as a crab character like Sebastian. Besides he's still gigantic and has large claws.
