Really liked it

It is visually stunning and I enjoyed the songs, especially the one that still had a Polynesian sound to them. The 3-D is absolutely worth it.

And I just love Moana's character and Auli'i Cravholo is absolutely a great discovery. Kudos to Disney for taking a risk in finding someone with the same background rather than another celebrity voice. That role goes to Dwayne Johnson, but he also a Polynesian background. And who knew he could sing?! All of the characters are great, and that includes the water (yes, it behaves very much like another character), which is just jaw-droppingly gorgeous at times.

The negative is that this is still a pretty typical (modern) Disney movie with some recognizable tropes. But they balance this with some meta humor and the aforementioned characters.

Well worth the price of aforementioned.
