In Aladin and the Little Mermid the princesses where 15. How old is Vaiana?

Ron Clements, the co-director, stated Moana/Vaiana was 16 years old. (http://www.eonline.com/news/703861/6-reasons-why-moana-will-be-the-greatest-disney-princess-yet) Also, Ariel in The Little Mermaid directly stated she was sixteen years old.

Doesn't matter. Never stated in the films.
Their official age in their time period is "of age". As in a young adult coming of age. Whatever that my be for their time period.
