Oscar Winner For Best Picture?
Campea over at Collider thinks it has best animated picture in the bag. He says this movie beats Kubo and the Two Strings easily.

shareBest Animated Picture you mean? Ya. Well. Maybe. Critics absolutely adored Finding Dory. And Zootopia (which has the same rotten tomato rating if not better as this time when it release it had 100%). So perhaps. Moana was quite good I will say. The animation was stunning. Music was meh. But TBH id put zootopia above it in my books. And it's definitely not even a contender for best picture - if that is really what you meant.
shareI think in many other years it'd have Best Animated Picture in the bag, but yeah... this is actually a crazy competitive year for animated movies!! It's definitely got a shot, but I do have a feeling it'll go to Zootopia, which I'd be totally good with That or maybe Kubo, since I've heard fantastic things about that movie as well (haven't seen it yet myself).
I DO sincerely hope Moana wins Best Original Song though!! I think it has a pretty decent chance, but La La Land seems like it could actually be some pretty stiff competition since it seems like a very Oscar-y kind of movie and score from what I hear (that's not a knock at it- I'm really excited to see La La Land!). But yeah, I'm rooting for Moana both because I adore the music and also because it'll be really friggin awesome if Lin becomes the third and youngest person ever to P(ultizer)EGOT

It's either Moana or Zootopia, and Moana does have slightly better reviews so it's got a pretty good chance.
shareIf you're speaking about best animated feature it isn't very difficult to predict generally. You just have to factor several things into account: world wide gross, acclaim, and awards. For the latter the awards season generally gives a pretty good picture of who the awards voters favor. And in that case Zootopia is way out in front having already won the Hollywood Animation Award and kids BAFTA and being nominated for the most Annie Awards for the year, eleven total while Moana pick up only six and Dory got one or two I think... if Zootopia wins best picture in this award it's pretty clear it'll likely win a Golden Globe and a Oscar. It a very crowded year only it and Kubo are really standing out and Zootopia has all the keys to success already laid out.
shareIdk about that one. I like John Campea, he is one of the people who encouraged me to start my own channel which I really hope to make into something one day. But yeah, this was great but I feel that Zootopia really pushed Disney a step further this year with it's dealing of social issues, and doing it in a way that was funny and entertaining too. I still think it's pretty strong. Kubo was great in terms of storytelling, and of course animation, a lot of stuff that I think even adults didn't see coming. Lot of great animated stuff this year, but right now I would still say this one would still rank 3rd among them.
Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

I think Kubo should win it but knowing how the Oscar works it'll probably be Moana
shareDefinitely a contender but out of kubo, Zootopia and Moana, the latter will probably be 3rd with Zootopia taking the win.
shareI'd personally have to go with Zootopia for the Oscar. I enjoyed Moana. But overall, it's a pretty standard Disney flick. Doesn't brake any new ground. I felt like I was watching something special with Zootopia.
