Did you like this film's animation style better than 'Finding Dory'?

If you did, what did you like about it?

Remember, I'm strictly asking about the animation style of this film and 'Finding Dory', so don't try to compare two films for now.

P.S. I know that this film is 5 months away from its release. I'm just asking from what you've seen so far.

Is there a difference? From what I can tell, they seem to be the same modern comp animation style.

Moana's animation style is better. It's more lush and a bit more stylized. Most especially, the actual movement of the characters and objects feels more natural, fluid, and rich in personality. Finding Dory's style is more realistic and the animation is not as organic as in Moana.

Couldn't have said it better myself....But Finding Dory is still awesome though

Not surprised that I'm hearing this. Disney is known to have better character animation than Pixar does.

That's more skill and how they used it than the actual style.

They both have the exact same style, which is the style they use for about every American animated movie.
If there's any differences I sure don't see them.

Now that the film is out, how do you feel about animation styles of both films and why?

reply

I preferred the animation in this, but it's hard to tell because I really don't care for the character design of Dory at all, and fish in general are boring.
