What's wrong with "Moana"? And no, it doesn't mean anything in, for example, Hungarian, where it is also called Vaiana. We've had some name changes, like "Scar" to "Zordon", but they mostly made at least some sense.

shareUpon a google search, yeah, there was an Italian porn star named that. Still, I HIGHLY doubt that she is any more well known in all the other countries than in the USA where it is no issue.

shareIn Italy, it's called Oceana because Italian pornstar Moana Pozzi is still a very popular figure there. For the rest of Europe, the movie is call Vaiana due to trademark issues on the name Moana.
shareYeah, I was really confused with this. I live in Belgium so at first I thought it was just the Dutch dub that was called Vaiana, as we did stuff like that before with dubbed versions. But I went and saw the English version. They call her Vaiana in the movie and even the title at the end says so. So they actually did their lines twice when it contained the name?
