Aulii Cravalho sings better than the Alessia Cara...lol

Her version of How Far I'll Go is FAR Better.

I haven't heard it yet 

I do tend to prefer the movie versions over the single versions. ALL of the songs I have on my Disney playlist are the movie versions sung by stars like Judy Kuhn, Jodi Benson, and Idina Menzel.

It's on YouTube. The entire Moana soundtrack is.

I'm trying to hold out until I see the movie.

Is that the girl who autotunes he way through the song in the credits? Hurt my ears! The girl in the movie is way better.

Yeah Alessia Cara is the professional singer who sings the auto-tune single version.

Aulii Cravalho, the first time actress from Hawaii, sings it with almost no music backdrop in the movie and sings far better. They clearly didn't just cast a random islander as the girl to say they did. They looked for someone who could sing really well, and that's why she got the role.
It means she'll be a great multi-talented actress. Can't wait to see her in live action roles as well.

Oh my goodness. Love the version in the movie. She is such an amazing singer!

HahAHAhA You are correct, Sir. Yes!

reply

Ugh...that version was awful!

I adored Aulii's version. The song had heart and drive. As the credits rolled, I winced at Alessia's version. Unnecessary.

I must warn you. I'm very susceptible to flattery.

As Alessia's version was playing during the credits, it was getting annoying. Way too much going on with the vocal runs. I said the same thing I liked Auli'i's singing voice better especially for that song it fit better.

I tend to favor the movie versions over the promo artist radio version, but this one especially has no comparison. The movie version is way better, not just for the arrangement, but the great vocals.

reply

Agreed, but I love both versions. I love the entire deluxe soundtrack.

I love the way you laugh.
