Just saw it

It was...okay. I'm from Hawaii myself so I won't nitpick all that stuff, but still, it's somewhat forgettable. I enjoyed it but I don't see watching it again. I can't say that about most Pixar movies (except Cars 2). Most are rewatchable.

That doesn't mean it's a bad movie. There are a lot of movies I've seen only once and have no desire to see again, but considering the company it keeps in the computer animated motion picture world, it's somewhat of a letdown.

What were your feelings about Frozen and Tangled?

To each his own. This is one I definitely want to see again and probably soon.

I saw it twice and loved it both times.

Same here.

Too long, too loud and what was the point of the chicken anyway? A homage to Sebastian? I stayed through the lengthy credits and my final thought was that too many cooks really do spoil the broth.

Robertsig, totally agree. It didn't have a good, solid, memorable plot and characters except I liked Moana. Great animation will only take a movie so far.

Agreed. It's far from bad, but generally pretty forgettable. So much of it seems all seen before.

They've got cars big as bars, they've got rivers of gold

I agree. Everyone I know that saw it says how it's such a great movie, but when I saw it I just felt kinda meh about it. I had a hard time caring about the story or the characters. Just didn't feel like anything special. Not a bad movie, but a bit overhyped.

What would have made the movie memorable? I ask because truth be told most movies we see are to some degree "forgettable". We watch it, enjoy it, but forget about it because we see the next movie and remember it only until the next one.

So, what would have made thus movie ingrained into your memory?
