OSCAR NOMINATIONS

I think is the most probable winner for Best Animated Movie, only Finding Dory can be the real contender and even that wasn´t as good as is "normal" from Pixar. I can´t stand typical Disney princess movies, I hate Frozen with all my guts ( yes, went to see it at theaters with my younger nephew, hoping for a Shrek like zany story but as soon as I saw the theater full of little girls, and the Diney logo...and the two princesses...and the horrible singing...I knew that I wanted to run away as fast as I could.
Last week (again) my nephew asked me to take him to see Moana ( or as it´s called here in Portugal Vaiana ), and so I was hoping for the worst...and ended being a fan. Lovely story, lovely visuals, and good and funny songs.
About the other movies, Sing was really good and, if Moana doesn´t win, I hope this one does. Couldn´t care less about the overated and uninteresting Pets and Zootopia, and the most forgotten one is the underated and very funny Storks. And I won´t even mention Kung Fu Panda 3 and Ice Age 5, more of the same...

By the way, I think it has good chances of winning best OST or Best Song, as it had plenty to choose from...

The Oscars will give it to Zootopia but I want Moana to win.

Zootopia is going to win. Moana hasn't won anything awards wise to make it even stand out! It might not even get nominated for best animated feature much less win it!

**Edit**

I just checked Gold Derby and and Awards Watch. Both have Zootopia way out in front and Mona pretty far behind.

Gold Derby has Moana in 3rd place:

And Awards Watch has Moana in 4th place:

Zootopia is going to win. Personally though, I prefer Moana.

The winner will either be Zootopia or Moana. They're both from the same studio and they have received similar responses from critics & audiences, so it doesn't matter that much which one of the two will win.

I actually Zootopia will take it. And I think La La Land is going to win song.

The song race is going to be more interesting than it's been in a long time.

Moana might win, Zootopia might win...but who really cares? It's not like the Academy has ever been all that good at awarding the actual best animated feature each year.

Tricky because with two Disney films in the running it could split votes creating a dark horse winner.

I've heard this from several but does anyone have any proof this has ever happened with an animated film? I remember reading a article that most of the voters have already decided on one by the time voting comes around and generally the others are not even talked about. And becides that I think it would take a HUGE spit to give another a gain. The finial vote is by the whole academy not just a branch and it's unlikely they would choose a film they've never heard of.

Maybe that's one of the reasons Spirited Away won the Oscar; that year both Treasure Planet and Lilo and Stitch were nominated.
