I'm surprised the film hasn't even hit 500 million world wide yet. Domestically it did fairly well. It didn't have that breakout song or character that would take it to Zootopia or Frozen levels but it beat Big Hero 6, Tangled, and Wreck-It Ralph domestic grosses. But overseas its only made 250 million which is definitely low. So what happened?
shareI don´t know. I love this movie, actually more then Zootopia (which was a great movie). I fear this movie will do like PIXAR´s Brave, where only some people like/understand it while the rest puts it into just-another-princess-movie, a trope I never understood
shareIt still hasn't opened in South Korea or Japan, and just recently opened in Italy, Australia, and Germany. So it still has time to catch up. And it's already the 3rd highest grossing princess movie from WDAS, behind Frozen and Tangled, so it's doing pretty well for what it is.
