Anyone know some good books about polynesian mythology?
I would love to learn more about Maui and other deities.
shareNot Polynesian mythology specifically, but someone recommended The Hero of a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell. I haven't read it myself, but my understanding is that a parallel is drawn between the "trickster" as a common character in many mythologies and Maui is seen as one of those.
