shareMaybe Walter was just talking about his family not celebrating it, not Ireland as a whole. Or he could have meant that HE didn't celebrate it because he figured it was stupid and illogical. Who knows with this guy? I thought he was becoming more human but lately, I find Data and Sheldon Cooper to be much more human than him.
You're probably right, he definitely would think it's a stupid thing to do. I think the reason he's been acting like his old self is because he's heartbroken over Paige and Tim.
